The Kama Sutra - Part I
By David Strovny

Due to an overwhelming amount of reader e-mail regarding the Kama Sutra and its sexually seductive powers, I've decided to dedicate a few sex tips to the mysterious book to help you and your woman discover a side to lovemaking that you never thought possible. These tips will help you understand yourself, as well as your partner, and may serve to bring the two of you closer together.

Let's get started, shall we?

Written almost two millennia ago, it seems the Kama Sutra has made its way to popular culture and couples are aching to use it to enhance their bedroom antics. And although the sexual positions themselves are only a minute part of the book, I'm sure you're interested in everything that comes before them.

The Kama Sutra makes it clear that you should make it a point to pay attention to every inch of your lover's body. Don't leave anything out and don't place so much importance on the actual sex itself.

The act of lovemaking in its entirety should be thoroughly enjoyed. Be totally aware of your senses; smell, taste, touch, hear, and see her. And of course, she will do the same.

But before you begin, you have to prepare for such a vivid experience by understanding yourself (and her for that matter).

man is divided

According to the KS , man and woman are divided into three classes. Man can be classified as the hare man, the bull man and the horse man according to the size of his, um, lingam (I think you know where this is headed). But fear not, woman too can also be classified as a doe, a mare or a female elephant depending on the depth of her yoni .

All this means that there are three equal unions that can exist between a man and a woman depending on their sizes, and six unequal ones. They are as follows:

EQUAL

Men Women
Hare Deer
Bull Mare
Horse Elephant

UNEQUAL

Men Women
Hare Mare
Hare Elephant
Bull Deer
Bull Elephant
Horse Deer
Horse Mare

So basically, if your penis is bigger than her vagina can handle, then your union is unequal, and if your penis is smaller than the depths of her vagina, then, again, it's an unequal union. Good luck deciphering which one you are, or better yet, which one she is.

how deep is your love?

Just as sizes differ, so too do desires, and carnal instincts are categorized as follows:

EQUAL

Men Women
Small Small
Middling Middling
Intense Intense

UNEQUAL

Men Women
Small Middling
Small Intense
Middling Small
Middling Intense
Intense Small
Intense Middling

A man of small passion is one whose desires at the time of intercourse are not high, whose ejaculate is sparse, and who is not too keen on being touched by his woman.

The Kama Sutra - Part I
By David Strovny

A man of middling passion feels desire at the time of intercourse, ejaculates sufficient amounts and enjoys being touched while making love.

And of course, a man of intense passion feels extreme desire while making love, ejaculates like a horse (just an expression, relax) and thrives on being touched by his women during and after lovemaking.

The same definitions apply to women as well so we're not alone. Unfortunately, there also exist three kinds of men and women according to time: the short-timed, the moderate-timed and the long-timed. There are nine unions in this category as well and hopefully, you've found yourself a woman that suits you in all three of the aforementioned categories (size, passion, time).

you're both there

Kama is fair in love and sex by stating that only once both parties have reached their climaxes can the party come to a close. (Seems that Vatsayayana, author of the kama sutra , also knew that women can ejaculate.) And although the book states that certain men and women are unequal in size, in regards to time, it's all relative.

For instance, upon the first time having sex with a partner, your feelings are intense yet your time is short-lived. But if you were to engage in intercourse again that same day, the reverse would be the case. As well, Kama states that upon the first sexual encounter, the woman's initial passion would be weak and her time long. But as you continue to engage in lovemaking throughout the day, her passion will intensify and her time will be short-lived.

It is also believed that men and women experience the same sensations when making love. And why not? Even though the mechanics are different, it's not hard to believe that we experience the same sexual sensation as does the fairer sex.

how do you love?

The kama sutra states that there are four kinds of love as well. There's love that:

# is acquired by continual habit
# results from the imagination
# results from belief
# results from the perception of external objects

Continual habit: if you do something enough times, you'll grow accustomed to it and thus love it.

Imagination: if you've always wanted to be with a certain woman and yet never get her, you will imagine her in fantastical scenarios and therefore fall in love with her.

Belief: This is mutual and shared love that results from seeing the other person as your own.

Perception of external objects: If a 22-year-old gorgeous woman was with a 50-year-old man who drove a Ferrari and lavished her with diamonds and furs, what would be your conclusion?

So now that you know about your potential abilities in the sack and what kind of love you feel for her, next week, I'll get into the chapter that involves embracing and touching your partner.
